2025 Highlights
In the second year of New Hampshire’s three-year energy efficiency plan, customers across the state continued to make meaningful energy-saving improvements.
From home energy upgrades and high-efficiency equipment to improvements for businesses and municipalities, customers found ways to save energy, lower bills and increase comfort at home and at work.
Together, these actions added up to significant savings in 2025 and benefits that will continue for years to come.
Your Energy Savings Add Up
Every energy-saving improvement can make a difference.
Across New Hampshire, residents, businesses and communities took steps to reduce energy use and make lasting efficiency improvements in 2025. Individually, these changes can mean lower energy use and greater comfort. Together, they create a much bigger impact across the state.
By making it easier and more affordable for customers to access energy efficiency upgrades, the NHSaves utility partners are helping to defer the need for new electricity generation and are limiting harmful emissions.
Residential
New Hampshire residents made energy-saving choices throughout 2025, from having home energy audits to installing air sealing and insulation, to using ENERGY STAR® certified products, upgrading to energy-efficient heating, cooling and water heating equipment and more. Together, those choices delivered significant energy savings across the state.
This is equivalent to CO2 emissions from 37,555 homes' electricity use for one year.
This is equivalent to greenhouse gas emissions from 13,576 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year.
This is equivalent to CO2 emissions from 229,706 smartphones charged.
This is equivalent to CO2 emissions from 44.7 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.

Commercial, Industrial and Municipal
Businesses and municipalities across New Hampshire continued investing in energy efficiency in 2025. Projects large and small helped reduce energy use and create lasting savings while supporting more efficient buildings and operations.
