New Construction High Performance Buildings

If you are at the beginning stages of planning your project, please reach out to your utility partner for further clarification on rebate availability.

Optimize performance with the New Equipment & Construction program.

High-efficiency equipment can help your facility perform better, look better, and save you money on maintenance and your energy bills. Our incentives and rebates can help offset the upfront costs of new, energy-efficient equipment for your facility, helping you save even more.

Businesses

Commercial and industrial businesses have a significant impact on New Hampshire’s energy saving efforts. The New Hampshire utility partners help businesses throughout the state get the information and financial incentives they need to successfully complete major energy efficiency upgrades. New equipment and construction incentives are offered to any commercial or industrial customer building a new facility, undergoing a major renovation, or replacing failed (end-of-life) equipment.

Program Overview

There is a pathway for every project

Receive expert net zero building technical assistance and the highest new construction/major renovation project incentives available. Set an ultra-low EUI and save. We provide support through a post-occupancy period to help you make sure the building performs at the level you expect.

  • Minimum of 10,000 square feet (sf) of heated and cooled space
  • Construction Incentives of up to $1.50/sf
  • Post Occupancy Incentives of $1.00/sf
  • Net Zero or Passive House Certification $3,000
  • Custom Incetives $0.30/kWh

See the brochure for details.

Where customers may not wish to or are unable to set an EUI target, when projects qualify as new construction/major renovation but are not whole buildings (e.g., tenant fit-outs, parking garages) or where customers seek support for discrete measures only, we can help.

Our energy experts will guide you in selecting the most cost-effective energy conservation measures for your building. Technical assistance and incentives are available to help cover the costs associated with implementing energy efficiency measures.

  • Project must be at least 5,000 square feet of conditioned space.
  • No-Cost Energy Charette Provided
  • Custom Incentives of $0.30/kWh and $2.00 Natural Gas Therms
  • Prescriptive Incentives at current program rate

See the brochure for details.

Customers that may be late in the design process or have a small project or projects involving only a portion of a building may receive incentives for incorporating energy-efficient equipment and systems into the project. We provide support for prescriptive and custom energy-efficient equipment.

See the brochure for details.

Commercial equipment repairs & replacement

For new construction projects that are not comprehensive in nature but still looking to incorporate individual high-efficiency equipment, electric and natural gas prescriptive incentives are available.

  • No Minimum size requirements
  • Custom Incentives of $0.18/kWh
  • Prescriptive Incentives at current program rate
