There are 3 different ways that your NHSaves utility can help you save with LEDs:

1. Instant discounts at participating distributors

Eversource, New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, and Unitil customers can now access instant rebates when they buy energy efficient lighting from a participating distributor.

This simplified process is the easiest way to participate

Your distributor will apply the rebates directly to your sale price and take care of all paperwork for you, all you need to do is have the LEDs installed within 30 days. You may be selected for a brief visual inspection to verify installation.

Liberty Electric Customers:  Liberty offers similar lighting incentives directly to customers or contractors. Contact Franklin Energy at NHSaves@franklinenergy.com for information on Liberty’s Simplified LED Lighting promotion.

2. Utility contracted installers

Small businesses and municipalities may be eligible to participate in the utilities “direct install” program where we send out a contracted vendor to audit your facility, develop the comprehensive scope of the lighting retrofit, prepare the financial analysis of the project, and submit the project for utility approval. These contractors have been screened by the utilites to develop a comprehensive set of energy efficiency improvements including lightinng and controls

3. Per fixture incentives using your own electrician

If you have existing lighting and are looking to install high efficient LEDs and controls:

2024 Retrofit Rebate Form

If you are adding an addition, changing use of an existing space (warehouse to office space), or building a new building, there are opportunities to receive incentives for your lighting to be more efficient than the energy code requires.  To participate in the new construction lighting program, review the program below.

Pre-approval of rebates by your utility provider is required prior to the purchase and installation of the energy-efficient equipment.
