Building Operator Certification

Building Operator Certification class at Lakes Region Community College starts Friday, Feb. 21. We already have a good class, with room for a few more. Please register to hold your spot.

BOC I classes will be 8-4 on the following Fridays: Feb. 21; Mar. 6 & 20; April 3, 10 & 24; and May 8 & 15. The course covers topics such as LED lighting, HVAC operations, indoor air quality, electrical systems, benchmarking energy performance and maximizing NHSaves incentives. An optional BOC I certification exam is also available. Through NHSaves, eligible participants get a 50% tuition award. Course information at LRCC’s Energy Training Calendar. In April is the 7-day BPI Building Analyst energy auditor class, running Tuesdays and Wednesdays, April 7 – 28. The class focuses on building science, residential energy systems, and building diagnostics. BPI certification testing and Fast-Track review will also be available.

In late August, LRCC plans to offer AEE’s Certified Energy Manager (CEM) training and certification testing. Then the BOC II class on seven Fridays from mid-September to mid-November 2020. In 2021, we also plan to have additional 1-day commercial energy efficiency trainings, and residential weatherization installer trainings.
